Assignment 2

Nowadays, the definition of Globalization has changed insofar as businesses occur in two directions, between the developping and the developped countries, and also within these latter. That is why it is said that business is now "competing with everyone from everywhere for everything." In fact, new companies from emerging countries are now competing against rich countries. Even though several countries are involved in the concept of Globalization, cultural differences are respected in each coutries. However, the rise of food and oil prices may have a negative effect on the emerging economies. In fact, the increase of their economic power might slow down due to the increase of these prices.
The new globalisation, or merely Globality, has several advantages for industrial and emerging companies. This free market economy involved the concept of protectionism within the companies. These latter are protected from any change or inequality in power.
Nevertheless, both "rich" and "poor" countries are benefiting from this concept of Globality insofar as emerging countries are more and more influencing other countries, which leads to a high benefit for both sides.

Assignment 1

In every society, both freedom and authority should be used with moderation, above all concening the large world of media. This idea has been stated by Altshull and Merill and they both argued that there is ''no pure system'' and this occurs mostly in countries undergoing a transition. This means that each community is under a mix of two or more media systems.
For instance, Morocco which is a developing country, is more and more changing its political system trying to reach democracy, independence, and improve its material conditions. This is why, it is known that this country is following the development model. Moreover, there is a certain solidarity between Morocco and the United States of America in terms of economy insofar as these two countries exchange goods. The USA is following the liberitarian media system as far as the attacks on the government's policies are fully accepted and even encouraged. Therefore, the Moroccan society might be influenced by this media system and adopt or at least catch up with the free press theory.
With the enhancement that Morocco is knowing, it might also be influenced by the social responsibilty theory where there is equality between the government and the media and the democratic-participant theory where relevant local information, answers, and the use of new means of communication are accepted. However, at the same time, this society has to keep and show respect and not totally criticize the government because of our reverent monarchy.
Also, the media system in Morocco is far from the Soviet and the Authoritarian theory since, nowadays, there is neither a communist dictatorship nor a total and severe control of information.
